Tick this option to send alert notifications via email. An active internet connection is required to transmit alerts via email.
- Email Account
Enter the email account that will be used for sending email notifications.
- Account Password
Enter the email account’s password.
- Email server
Enter the name of the outbound email server e.g. smtp.gmail.com.
- Email server port
Enter the port number that the email server is running on e.g. 465.
- Send alert to email-1
Enter the email address where alerts should be received.
- Send alert to email-2
Enter the email address where alerts should be received.
- Enable SMS alerting
Tick this option to receive alert notifications via SMS messages. An active cellular connection is required to transmit alerts via SMS.
- Send alert to phone-1
Enter the phone number where alerts should be received.
- Send alert to phone-2
Enter the phone number where alerts should be received.
- Enable audio alerting
Tick this option to receive audio alerts.
- Name of audio
Choose the sound that will be played when an alert is triggered.
- Show alerts on-screen
Tick this option to receive alerts on the device screen. Alerts can only be acknowledged if this option is enabled.
On-screen alerts will only be received whilst the app remains in the foreground. You must enable an additional alerting method e.g. audio or email to receive alerts when other apps are running on the device. - Allow anonymous usage statistics
Tick this option to allow the collection of anonymised usage statistics. When this option is ticked (the default) the following information is sent to our servers for the purposes of identifying product defects and further product development. Learn more about Yacht-Sentry privacy
- An application instance identifier.
This identifies an instance of Yacht-Sentry. It is created each time Yacht-Sentry is installed on a device and it is destroyed every time you delete Yacht-Sentry from your phone or tablet.
As a result, alerts triggered after a fresh installation will use a new identifier meaning that they are not linked to alerts from a previous Yacht-Sentry (even on the same device).
- The name of the application.
- The application version number.
- The time zone that Yacht-Sentry is using.
- The time and date when the alert was triggered.
- The location of the centre of the safety-zone.
- The safety-zone’s radius.
- The location of the vessel at the time when the alert was triggered.
- The distance from the centre of the safety-zone to the vessel at the time the alert was triggered.
- The bearing to the centre of the safety-zone from the vessel’s location at the time the alert was triggered.
- The number of alerts that have been triggered since the safety zone was created.
- The time and date that the safety-zone was created.
- The time and date that the most recent alert was triggered.
- The time and date of the first alert after the creation of the safety-zone.
- The time and date when monitoring of the safety-zone was deactivated.
- The number of alerts that have been acknowledged since the creation of the safety-zone.
- A flag to indicate whether an alert has been triggered as result of testing.
- The number of alerts that have been dropped due to rate limiting.
- The number of times that the safety-zone has been re-entered.
- The time and date that the safety-zone was most recently entered.
- An application instance identifier.
